Chris is a postdoctoral scholar working in the research group of Zohreh Davoudi. His research is focused on developing methods to use quantum computers to study high energy and nuclear physics processes that are out of reach of classical supercomputers. More specifically, one of his research interests is studying how to use quantum algorithms with nearly-optimal scaling to reduce the cost of lattice field theory simulations when early fault-tolerant quantum devices become available. He received his PhD from the University of Arizona, where he was advised by Stefan Meinel. His thesis focused on both classical simulations of lattice QCD, and quantum simulations of lattice gauge theories.
