On June 26, Google released its 2014 version of Scholar Metrics, which highlights influential scientific papers published between 2009 and 2013. Papers are selected by an algorithm that selects those that are the most-cited in their subject, according to the Google Scholar database.

At least 19 papers coauthored by affiliates of the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI), that were published in the covered archival journal set, are included in the 2014 Scholar Metrics. They are listed below in the manner used by Scholar Metrics: in descending order of h5-index of the journals in which they were published, and then by descending number of citations.
