About
QuICS Bio

Ali was a QuICS doctoral student in Physics and received his PhD in Physics from the University of Maryland.  He previously worked on the intersection of high energy physics and gravity and quantum information with Mark Van Raamsdonk at UBC in the It from qubit program. He is interested to explore the intersection of physics and computer science. He previously worked on the application of Deep learning in the Quantum dots device as building blocks of a future quantum simulator with Jacob Taylor at QuICS and Justyna Zwolak at NIST.  He was advised by Michael Gullans.  After QuICS, Ali moved on to another position.
