Abstract
We demonstrate ultrafast active-quenching techniques in a silicon single-photon avalanche diode, and observe an order of magnitude reduction in afterpulsing, a factor of 1.8 reduction in diode recovery time, and increased maximum count rates. (C) 2012 Optical Society of America
